The TK-D300E2 is a digital two way radio from Kenwood. Built to IP55 standards the TK-D200E2 has a limited ingress protection against dust, whilst also being safeguarded against jets of water from all angles. Built to military standards (MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G) this radio is both rugged and reliable, with the capabilities to continue working in harsher weather conditions. Coming as standard with a KNB-55L 1480mAh Li-Ion battery, this will allow for 13 hour battery life whilst the battery saver mode is switched on. Equipped with safety functions such as Lone Worker, the TK-D300E2 allows for users to be found quickly should a radio be inactive for a pre-set period of time. Man Down is also present, working similarly if the radio is laid parallel for a pre-set period of time then the radio will send out a distress signal. Other emergency features Kenwood have installed into the TK-D300E2 include both an Emergency Call Function and an Emergency Key, also coming as GPS compatible, something required if you want to make use of the Man Down function. The TK-D300E2 is flexible to your working environment or status, should you be in a position where a channel switch is needed a voice announcement feature is built in, notifying the user what channel number they are now broadcasting over. A low battery warning gives good timing to users should they need to stop what they are doing before losing communications, whilst also having the ability to send both voice and text/data messages.
