The PD985 is a digital two way radio from Hytera. A channel capacity of 1024 supplies sufficient communications for a business of any size, whilst also having the capabilities to host both group and individual calls on each channel. Pre-programmed text messages are able to be sent from the PD985, allowing for communications with less urgency to be made via the press of a button. Mixed mode scanning allows for both analogue and digital channels to be searched, ensuring that no conversations are missed. Built to IP68 standards the PD985 is completely protected against dust intrusion, this whilst also being safeguarded against submersion in water for extended periods of time. MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G ensures the PD685s reliability in a variety of environmental conditions, continuing to operate seamlessly whether the radio is being used from -30°C through to 60°C. The PD985 is arguably the worlds most advanced digital two way radio, this because it boasts industry first features such as single frequency repeater mode and full duplex mode. Lone Worker is built-in to the radio, a feature that helps to ensure the safety of workers by monitoring activity levels. Should the radio be inactive for a pre-set period of time then a beep will be sounded, if still not responded to an alert will be sent to the base station or other radios within the network. Both Man Down feature and GPS can be added to the PD985 as an additional extra, this can be organised through selecting this option from the drop down menu to the right.
